Our event is taking place from 9 am to 5 pm at the Fayetteville Public Library. Tickets are $25 per person or $15 for students (with code STUDENT, student id required at check in).
What is TEDxFayetteville?
TEDxFayetteville is a locally organized event licensed by TED, built around a simple but powerful goal: share bold ideas that spark conversation and connection.
In one extraordinary day, you’ll hear from thought leaders, artists, entrepreneurs, educators, and everyday changemakers, each offering a unique, thought-provoking idea in under 18 minutes.
Our theme, our speakers, and our audience are united by one thing: a belief that ideas have the power to shape our future.
What is TEDx?
In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
Our event is called TEDxFayetteville, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxFayetteville event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
What Makes a TEDx Talk Different?
Talks are short (under 18 minutes) and tightly curated. Speakers are not selling or pitching, they’re sharing meaningful insights.
Topics span multiple disciplines, from science and design to storytelling and justice
Each talk is filmed and uploaded to the TEDx YouTube channel, where it can reach millions. TEDx is not a conference or a lecture. It’s an experience.
Some of the most famous “TED Talks” that we know and love happened at TEDx events. Maybe the next “most watched” talk will take place right before you.

Volunteer With Us
TEDxFayetteville is powered by passionate volunteers, from high-level planners to day-of event helpers. Whether you’re great at organizing logistics, designing visuals, running social media, greeting guests, or keeping things running behind the scenes, we’d love to have you on the team.
Sponsorship Opportunities
This event wouldn’t be possible without the support of local businesses and organizations that believe in the power of ideas worth spreading.
Sponsorships and in-kind donations help us create an inspiring, high-quality event while keeping it accessible to our community.
We’re currently seeking partners for:
- Venue, food, and hospitality
- Printing, signage, and branded swag
- AV, media production, and tech support
- Financial sponsorship at various levels
Speaker Applications Are Closed
Our speaker lineup for 2025 has already been selected and includes several individuals who were originally scheduled to speak at our postponed 2020 event.
However, we love hearing fresh ideas and are excited to start planning for a potential TEDxFayetteville 2026.
If you’re interested in speaking at a future TEDxFayetteville event, you can share your idea and be among the first to hear when applications open. We strongly priortize independent nominations over self-nominations. We don’t accept any applications from people who are not connected to the Fayetteville, NWA, or Arkansas community.
*Additional note: being overly obnoxious and sending private messages to our volunteer teams at their personal emails and personal social medias will not be viewed favorably for your application. Thank yew
